An article in Forbes this week celebrates the best housing markets in the nation. Houston has ranked third.
But, this ranking is different.
It is not a testament to cities that have withstood a perilous housing market, rather, where to buy now. That is right. And, to prove, Pittsburgh is the number one city on the list. The steel city and major manufacturing hub in the US records the top spot, while Houston, Dallas, and Austin metros are all in the top 10.
The list was based on national studies by Wells Fargo, Moody’s, and Realty Trac for housing metros that have low foreclosures, rising home prices, and affordability.
